We offer a variety of small, in-person weaving classes. If you see a class that you would like to take but it is not
scheduled or at a time that you can’t come please email Robin to schedule a class.
I started to offer virtual classes in 2021, but it seems difficult to offer the kind of class I like to present.
The exception is our Wednesday Weavers—Zoom is great for that! And we throw in a few in-person activities as well.
Weave a V-Shawl (and learn double weave at the same time)
Weave a V-Shawl (and learn double weave at the same time)
Create a fabulous one of a kind shawl that stays on the shoulders! The V-Shaped Shawl is a favorite style--due to it's unique shape it stays put on the shoulders while covering all of the back.
Use double weave and a unique method of weaving a fold to weave this shawl. Learn to plan future shawls, using stripes, plaids, and various weave structures. You will complete your shawl in class and go home with a plan (and maybe a warp) for your next shawl.
The class is appropriate for newer weavers as long as you have warped and woven at least one project. It is a good review of warping technique. Weavers who are more experienced, but want to learn about double weave and/or back-to-front warping will also enjoy the class.
Upcoming Classes:
S/S May 17/18, 2025
The v-shawl class can also be offered as a guild workshop at your location.
CANCELLATION POLICY: For most classes our preference is that if you must cancel we hold your payment and apply it to a future class taught by the same instructor. If you do not wish to reschedule and it is one week or more prior to the class we will refund your payment minus a processing fee. We may withhold a materials fee if materials have been purchased and prepared specifically for class. This varies from class to class. If cancellation is within a week of class we will deduct an additional $35 from the refund.
Participants will wind a warp and dress the loom in class. The recommended class project will be 18 to 22” wide and use yarns that are sett at 6 to 8 epi for a single layer. (We will double that sett for this project.) It is ideal if you can bring a loom to work on, but I do have some here for 18” wide warps.
Class size: 2-4 students
Experience: Basic weaving experience, even if it’s just taking the Learn to Weave class.

Loom: 4-shaft loom. I have a few that can be used, but must know ahead of time that you need to use mine.

If minimum number of students isn't met one week prior to class date the class may be cancelled. If the class is cancelled you will receive a refund or apply the fee to a future class.
