We specialize in Solano County grown wool, but there is one other favorite here.
Ashford 2023 DK Yarn
Ashford 2023 DK Yarn
4/28/2024 UPDATE: I just taught a weekend workshop using these yarns. The class of 14 used a lot of yarn. I haven’t had time to update the availability. Contact me before ordering or wait a couple of weeks until this is restocked!
Ashford’s 2023 Double Knit yarn is a beautiful new blend of finer micron Corriedale and Perendale selected for its softness, strength and versatility, and 100% New Zealand grown. It is perfect for all knitting, weaving and crochet projects and sure to become a go to favorite for sweaters, scarves, beanies, blankets, and more. This yarn offers you all the benefits of wool – warmth, durability, shape retention, easy to work with and affordability!
This is a new yarn but replaces the previous Ashford DK yarn, and it can be substituted for that yarn used in the V-Shawl project in the 2022 Wheel Magazine.
The new colour range is a selection of 36 past favourites and new on-trend shades. Choose from neutrals, fashion, classics, and pastels, all designed to co-ordinate and complement each other. See all the colors available by looking at the chart. [I just realized that not all 36 colors show up on the chart on my site. I need to fix that. For now click the drop-down menu to see the color names with a larger photo.]
