Arras Tapestry Loom by Schacht

from $477.00

Schacht’s Arras Tapestry Loom embraces traditional tapestry weaving with a modern, thoughtfully designed loom. It’s a tool for new and more experienced weavers alike and will withstand the rigors of serious tapestry weaving.

The Arras Tapestry Loom is made of solid maple hardwood and maple plywood. The loom has excellent warp tension control that tapestry weaving requires.

The Arras Loom has a 20" weaving width and takes a continuous warp up to 45" long. For longer warps, an optional upgrade kit with ratcheted cloth and warp beams can be added.

Weavers can adjust the loom’s height and weaving angle for comfortable weaving. In addition, the loom can be raised 3.5" for ease of warping in the vertical position.

A smooth-working adjustable shedding device is controlled with a hand lever which can be installed on the right or left side of the loom.

Weighing 10 pounds, the Arras Loom is portable, with legs that can be folded up for travel or storage.

The Arras comes with 100 Texsolv heddles and 4 color-coded coils for 4, 5, 6, and 8 dent setts. A cartoon holder is conveniently located just behind the warp.

Function, aesthetics, and comfort create a sturdy loom that is a joy to weave on. Too see this loom in action check out this video. I never thought that I wanted to weave tapestry but this loom has changed my mind.
