Some of my favorite ewes: Fanny, Lucy, and Tiara in the fall.
I just let the sheep into the pasture today (3/1/08). I had my camera and decided to take photos for the website. It was hard to get the sheep to lift their heads  out of the grass long enough for a photo.

Green Water Daniella  C068-04 is unrelated to the rest of the flock (except of course her daughter and granddaughter) so I am always interested in seeing what her lambs look like. This year she had twins on 2/3/08

Meridian Diamond A070-02 the daughter of one of Penobscot Jewel, one of my original Jacobs. She always has a long crimpy fleece. Diamond had twins 2/20/08. She is the mother of Meridian Rocky, who sired many of the lambs that I kept in 2007.

bide a wee Deira C066-01. At 7 years, Deira is the oldest ewe I have. she was a favorite of Gary Anderson (Hillside Jacobs) and came to live here when he moved to Michigan. Deira had triplets this year--6, 7, and 10 lbs! All were up and nursing when I found them in the morning.

Meridian Della C049-07 was sired by Meridian Rocky and is Daniella's granddaughter. she has nice strong horns and a beautiful fleece. She is not quite a year old and had a 10 lb lamb on 2/21.

Meridian Doris B034-04 is a large 4-horn ewe. She lambed 2/18 with 7-9 lb triplets. Doris is so protective of her lambs that she often attacks the water bucket in her lambing pen.

Meridian Dot B034-04is a favorite ewe. She has been to shows and is one of the friendly ones. She had twins 2/13/08.

Meridian Fanny A113-03 is another daughter of my original flock. I have always loved her horns and she has a large, long fleece. I'm glad that she has twin daughters this year, because she has had rams for several years.

Lynde's Jennifer B112-03 was bred and showed by my son, so she is one of the most friendly sheep in the flock. Jennifer was the first to lamb this year with twin daughters. She always has a beautiful soft fleece and this year was no exception. Her two horns are actually fused 4-horns.

Meridian Laura B110-07 (back) and Meridian Linda B047-07(front) are twins born last year.  I had them on my sale list  and I'm so glad that they didn't sell. They have the most fabulous wool--both fleeces were sold before they finished coming off the sheep. They both lambed this year, Laura with twins, and Linda with a single. Their mom is Meridian Lucy and their dad is Meridian Rocky.

Meridian Lucy A074-02 is another daughter of my original flock. She has a beautiful long soft fleece. Lucy is the mother of Laura and Linda and has another set of  twins this year.

Meridian Suzanne B063-05 is a ewe with nice strong horns and a consistent soft fleece. She lambed with twins 2/13/08.

Meridian Zena is one of my favorite yearlings. She is another Rocky daughter and has nicely spaced, strong horns and a soft fleece with a lot of color. She had a 10 lb lamb 2/25.
