Shearing Day was a great success! The sun was out and that was good news considering that we'd had over 6" of rain the previous weekend. A lot of visitors came to watch and buy wool. The fleeces are gorgeous and now the ewes really do look pregnant! 

Judd Redden from Sonoma made shearing look easy.  He sheared 45 ewes and 3 rams.

From the Bay Area:
I-80 to Vacaville. Take 505 North; take Midway exit. 
Turn right (east) on Midway Rd. Go 1.5 miles and turn left (north) on Meridian. That's the 2nd stop sign. Our place is about 2 miles north of Midway.
From Sacramento:
Take I-80 to Dixon. Take the last Dixon exit--Dixon Ave./West A exit. Don't take the first right, but turn right at the Yield Sign. That's Dixon Ave and you will be driving toward the hills (west). Drive about 3 miles to Meridian. Turn left. Meridian Jacobs is 2/10 mile from Dixon Ave.
From the North
From I-5 take 505 South. Exit at Allendale. Turn left, under the freeway. Allendale dead-ends at Meridian. Turn right. We aren't far from there--about 2/10 mile past Dixon Avenue.
