Jacob lambskins

These lambskins are taken from the ram lambs sold for custom meat. Each lambskin is unique in it's spotting pattern and texture and length  of wool. Use a Jacob lambskin to soften a wood bench or chair, to adorn the back of a couch, or at the side of a bed. Use it to warm a car seat or under the sheet in a baby crib. Jacob lambskins are unique wedding, anniversary, or baby gifts. In addition, the lambskins may be machine washed (follow instructions). Click to see more lambskins

Washing instructions provided by processors

(B) Brown leather
1. If very dirty, first rinse off with cool water.
2. Fill washing machine and add your favorite wool detergent. (I use Dawn liquid.) Put lambskin in washer and swish by hand or agitate gently for up to 3 minutes. Spin out water.
3. To rinse, repeat Step 2 without the detergent.
4. Dry in the dryer at very low heat. Or air dry and use dryer (no heat) to fluff.
I have washed these skins and the leather turns out fine.

(W) White leather
1. If very dirty, first rinse off with cool water.
2. Fill washing machine and add a mild liquid detergent. (I use Dawn liquid.) Put lambskin in washer and let soak. Do not agitate. Spin out water.
3. To rinse, repeat Step 2 without the detergent.
4. To dry, hand from two legs. Air drying may take 2-3 days. As skin is drying it will stiffen and shrink. Before it is completely dry stretch from side to side to soften and stretch.
OR Dry clean. Keep temperature less than 100 degrees.
I have not washed one of these skins yet, so I can't vouch for how well this works.
