The horns on the ram lambs grow so
quickly that it is difficult (if not impossible) to predict what a
young lamb's horns will look like when he is able to be registered
at 6 months of age. That is why I
don't make any decisions about which rams will be for sale as
breeding rams until they are about 3-4 months old. At that point
some culls are obvious, but others may take longer to know for
sure. I'm still watching them. The rams who will be
submitted for JSBA registration will be available during the
summer.
Ram lambs for breeding are $225. Wethers are $100. Lamb pedigrees: Go to JSBA's website and click on Pedigree Search. Go to Trial mating and enter the sire and dam name. You will be able to see the lamb pedigree. |
